Our Commitment to Accessibility

Areti Bank International Inc. is committed to providing an online banking experience that ensures equal access to information and functionality for all users. We fully embrace the accessibility standards set forth in Section 508 of the revised Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website to allow users with disabilities to enjoy the same online banking experience as other users.

Current Accessibility Status

Areti Bank is actively evaluating our current website accessibility to ensure compliance and conformance with Revised Section 508 standards and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 and will be implementing additional web enhancements throughout this process.

Key Guidelines and Standards We Follow

This website endeavors to conform to global standards of accessibility, as well as numerous country-specific guidelines in our countries of operations.

Globally, we work to conform to level Double-A of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user-friendly for all people.  The WCAG defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. These guidelines have been recognized by the International Standards Organization as ISO 40500 and inform our compliance with and commitment to accessibility requirements around the world.

In the United States, Areti is committed to making its electronic and information technologies accessible to individuals with disabilities by meeting or exceeding the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. 794d), as amended in 1998, as well as the Unruh Civil Rights Act (CA Civil Code §§ 51, et. seq., CC §51(f)) amongst others. Section 508 is a federal law that requires agencies to provide individuals with disabilities equal access to electronic information and data comparable to those who do not have disabilities, unless an undue burden would be imposed on the agency. The Section 508 standards are the technical requirements and criteria that are used to measure conformance within this law. More information on Section 508 and the technical standards can be found at www.section508.gov.

In the European Union, we commit to standards including Mandate 376 and the EU Web Accessibility Directive.
